as well as the ever-popular carpooling, are sure to get us back on the right track. I used to think that carpooling was either for fun or because not every mom wanted to drive every kid to school every day. Now of course I realize that carpooling is a great way to conserve resources and get to know your classmates (and their eco-minded parents)

Companies honored for carpooling

Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy today emceed the New York Metropolitan Transit Council's Regional Commuter Choice Awards, honoring employers who do the most to reduce vehicle emissions by participating in rideshare programs. Levy honored seven local companies for participating in the county’s rideshare program, which organizes carpools.
