Dell Promotes Their Laptops With Toshiba Destruction

Tags: Computers, 280, 443, 189
Dell's new promotion of their Latitude XT tablet PC is gets personal—claiming frustration with bad tablets, they saw Toshiba's competing M400 in half. We're not sure how, if at all, Toshiba plans to retaliate. But we humbly suggest the use of eggs, toilet paper and a half-broken bottle of Jack when proceeding. Thanks Matt!

Dell announced today that it's acquiring Zing in order "to continue improving the entertainment experiences it provides its customers." The short, vague announcement (check it post-jump) is a bit surprising because Zing's bread and butter is Wi-Fi music players (Sansa Connect, Sirius Stiletto, Pandora's Wi-Fi player), and Dell hasn't really had

While Dell is not officially supporting their Windows Mobile 6 on their Axim X50 and X51 models, those who own the VGA versions might be interested in a new port created by a philanthropist programmer. Maybe the mod scene is the only place various smartphone users will find their WM6 fix, because it sure seems like there are a lot of dragging feet

Our Dell Zune Dealzmodo where you could get a Black Zune for $104 seems to be totally canceled. Dell reneged on the deal because they attributed the price drop to an "internal system error," and canceled all outstanding orders of the Zune player. So if you didn't get in, don't worry about it. And if you did get in, our condolences. Dear

Some man in Ohio had his Dell laptop catch fire yesterday. That's weird, thought Gizmodo, since Dell offered replacement batteries for all the combustible versions of their batteries last year. What's this guy doing with a laptop on fire? And why's he making demands that Dell pay for the damages to his house and the HAZMAT bill? Any lawyers care
