Summer’s almost here and it’s once again the ideal time to explore your reading options. Wesat down with LaurenWeisberger to discuss"Revenge Wears Prada,"her long-awaited sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada."Along the way, we asked her to cite her recommendations. Here's what shehad to say.
'Me Before You: A Novel'
By Jojo Moyes
(Pamela Dorman Books)
This book, about the incredibly special relationship between a recently paralyzed young man and his caregiver, was compulsively readable. I'm always in search of those books where you don't want to stop reading, and "Me Before You" is at the top of that list.
By Meg Wolitzer
Meg Wolitzer's cast of characters in this book is so finely observed and lovingly detailed that I felt like I personally knew each of them. I so admire her ability to take everyday situations and relationships and turn them into universal experiences that can touch the reader in unexpected ways.
'The Lost Wife'
By Alyson Richman
I've read pretty broadly on the Holocaust--both fiction and non-fiction--and to me, The Lost Wife is one of the best. The horrors of war serve as a backdrop to a love affair that spans a lifetime, and that love story stayed with me long after I put down the book.
