A sequel to the 2013 thriller “The Cuckoo’s Calling,” “The Silkworm” will follow the exploits of protagonist Private Detective Cormoran Strike as he investigates the disappearance and murder of a scandal-exposing novelist.

By using the Galbraith pseudonym, Rowling may be seeking to distance herself from her more celebrated works, the "Harry Potter" series of novels. Nevertheless, she continues to make headlines with "Harry Potter"; Rowling recently disclosed that she's been having second thoughts about how she ended the series.

“The Silkworm” is expected to arrive on bookstore shelves in summer 2014.
