Savannah logged quite a few miles yesterday.

She woke up at 3 a.m., anchored TODAY at 7, flew to Los Angeles to tape Jay Leno's "The Tonight Show," and then headed right back to New York City for this morning's broadcast. That's a nearly 5,000-mile trip in less than 24 hours!

She seemed surprisingly alert last night, but that may have been because Jay dug up some old, embarrassing footage of her as a cub reporter (as well as a more modern clip of her infamous hurdle flub).

In turn, Savannah shared a few bits of TODAY trivia: like the fact Matt that loves Fritos, that she hates to exercise, and that Al's viral video freeze happens quite often.

"You look like you're having fun," said Jay.

"It's the best job," agreed Savannah.

Jay also poked fun at the height disparity between Matt and Savannah. Watch the video above for that amusing moment, and Lester's prank this morning.

And see the full Leno interview below!

Julieanne Smolinski hopes Savannah napped on the plane.
