Actress Paula Patton stopped by TODAY on Wednesday, just 24 hours after her husband Robin Thicke rocked the plaza with his hit single "Blurred Lines." The "2 Guns" actress was sporting a bright yellow dress that was perfect for morning TV.
Did you like Patton's outfit? Here's what she was wearing:
Patton said her look is often inspired by actresses of the '50s and '60s like Sophia Loren and Marilyn Monroe.
"There was that time of glamour and beauty and femininity I love, but then I like to add a modern twist, something that makes it my own," Patton told TODAY.com. "I don't want to just imitate, but I'm inspired by their beauty."
Patton said her personality is often a bit "schizophrenic," adding that her look is often dictated by how she feels day to day.
"I like to get into character, so I usually dress to my mood and the occasion ... I don't intellectualize the clothes. I just go with what feels best." Patton explained. "This (outfit) meant, it's morning, the sun's out, 'wake up!'"
One of Patton's favorite elements of her outfit was the snake bracelet on her right arm, perhaps because it came from a special someone.
"The bracelet was a gift from (my husband) Robin ... I'm not sure if it was his way of saying something nice or mean," Patton joked. "I think it means I'm a snake charmer or something like that."
