1. In her first-ever television interview, Priscilla Chan opened up to Savannah about her childhood and what it's like to be married to Facebook founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg. She also admitted that she’s “pro-hoodie.”

“He has graduated to a nicer hoodie,” she said of her husband's signature attire. “He can't wear it to weddings. And he can't wear it to baby showers. But he can do whatever else he wants.”

2. Rascal Flatts rocked the TODAY plaza! The country trio sang "Payback," "Why Wait," and of course, their classic remake of Tom Cochran's "Life Is a Highway."

3. For the first time in 50 years there was a tie at the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The co-winners exhausted the judges’ word list, and told TODAY the final word was simple.

"I was pretty happy that I got an easy word, so I spelled it to the best of my ability, and I was pretty happy," Ansun Sujoe told Tamron.

4. James Earl Jones visited to talk about his stage-to-screen project of “Driving Miss Daisy,” and closed his interview with a Jedi joke that made all of Studio 1A laugh.

5. A service lab who’s spent the past year helping April Childers, a woman living with multiple sclerosis and a cardiac condition, was reunited with the family who raised him on the fourth hour. The reunion was wonderful — and left Kathie Lee in tears.
