Dolly Parton announces her plaza performance, Natalie Morales gets slimed and Lady Gaga tells Savannah about her new album.

1. Lady Gaga showed up at Studio 1A in over-sized black patent leather stilettos and a nearly floor-length white wig — but that’s just the superstar musician being herself.

“There’s a perception that what I’m doing is all a big show,” she told Savannah. “I really, truly feel that it’s really just part of who I am.”

Video: The singer joins TODAY to offer a look behind the scenes of her latest music video, for “G.U.Y.,” and chat about her latest album, “Artpop,” which she says “is about bringing art and music together in the spirit of creative rebellion.”

2. Al slimed Natalie Nickelodeon-style after she agreed (inadvertently) to undergo the goo on Twitter Thursday night.

"You missed me!" she squealed as it dripped off her cap.

Video: In honor of Natalie Morales’ upcoming appearance on Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards, Al Roker covers her with a bucket of green slime. Natalie is participating in the awards to raise money for the Boston bombing victims.

3. Dolly Parton announced big news via satellite from Dollywood: the 68-year-old plans to perform on the TODAY plaza on May 13.

"I've done that years ago, and I absolutely had a ball,” the music legend said. “I watch you all the time when you have the guests on, so I would be honored and thrilled to come be with all of you (and) promote my new record.”

Video: Singer Dolly Parton joins TODAY to chat about a roller coaster called "The FireChaser Express," the newest addition to her Dollywood amusement park. She’ll be performing on TODAY on May 13.

4. Skeptics of “Wheel of Fortune” winner Emil de Leon may be interested to know the victory was a moment he’d prepared for his whole life.

“I've been watching 'Wheel of Fortune' since I was a kid,” de Leon told Carson. “Actually, the first letters that I learned were 'R S T L N and E,' which as you know are the prominent letters in 'Wheel of Fortune.'"

Video: Emil de Leon stunned “Wheel of Fortune” viewers and host Pat Sajak on Wednesday night’s episode by solving the final puzzle with just two exposed letters to go on. He joins TODAY to chat about his guess, and addresses critics who suspect the game was rigged.

5. You’re washing your hair incorrectly.

Video: Celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson demonstrates how to wash your hair properly, starting at the scalp. Beauty expert Jenn Falik also joins TODAY to demonstrate the right way to apply eyeliner.

6. Exciting news from TODAY’s kitchen: Next week Fresh Cooks Live: TODAY's Spring Cookalong series kicks off. We’ll live-stream the full cooking demonstrations right here on TODAY.com — time to shop for ingredients!
