Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. This custom details just a few of the things a bride-to-be is supposed to have on hand when preparing for the happiest day of her life. The original rhyme even demands the placement of a silver sixpence in the bride's shoe. That's an awful lot of stipulation for an already busy occasion.

But while it’s easy to get lost in all the elaborate plans – from the flowers through the dress -- the most important element is the love that prompts that magical ceremony to take place. In this edition of TODAY’s Life Illustrated, we take a look at some special wedding moments, shared by TODAY viewers like you.
