TODAY earned three Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award nominations on Wednesday, including one for Outstanding Morning Program, a category it has won for three straight years.
TODAY also received nominations for Outstanding Directing in a Talk Show/Morning Program and Outstanding Achievement in Main Title and Graphic Design.
In addition, the 86th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade hosted by Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie earned a pair of nominations for Outstanding Special Class Special and Outstanding Special Class Directing. The nominations were part of 25 garnered by NBC overall.
The 40th annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award ceremony, run by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, will take place on June 16 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. The Daytime Emmy awards are presented to individuals and programs that broadcast between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the 2012 calendar year. Here is a full list of the nominees.
