The country fair came to TODAY this morning, invading our plaza with midway games, a 1,000 pound pig, butter sculptures and -- unfortunately for Savannah -- frogs.

Those amphibians are Savannah's worst nightmare, and our anchors teased her the whole morning.

"Get that frog away from me!" she told Matt as he held one up to her. Watch her amusing reactions in the video below (Warning: There is lots of screaming).:

Where does Savannah's fear come from? She told TODAY.com it all started when she was a child living in Tucson, Ariz.

"When it rained hard, these big Colorado River toads would come out and they were so loud. Their croaks sounded like large animals outside my window," she said. "I had a terrible nightmare that there were frogs under my bed. I was so convinced there were frogs under there that I refused to get out of bed. My dad came in and tried to convince me there weren't any frogs. He even got down on his knees and looked under the bed to prove it. Ultimately, he had to pick me up and carry me out of the room because I was too scared to stand on the floor near the bed."

But even Savannah was surprised that she had such a reaction to the amphibians on the plaza. "I never expected to have that kind of visceral reaction to the frogs," she said. "It shocked even me!"

Because of this, Savannah couldn't quite handle the frog-jumping competition. She asked, "do I have to touch him?"

Her green-tinted amphibian didn't do so well, and Natalie took the "crown."

"I've always aspired to wear a hat like this," Natalie said, thanking her frog in a speech.

Check out the hat on the right.

"You look like one of Fergie's daughters at the royal wedding right about now," Matt told Natalie.
