Morales teamed up with the magazine and the popular online home goods retailer One Kings Lane to freshen up the space that was previously too brown and too disorganized for the anchor’s family.

“I also like a home that feels like home,” she told the magazine. And with two active sons, she needed a space that was comfortable for her kids but still felt like an adult living room.

With a fresh color scheme of blue, gray and mauve, Natalie’s living room was transformed into a modern oasis that she said honors the historic brownstone’s past.

“It feels to me like it’s a warm and inviting place,” she said. “It’s elegant but yet it’s not so restrictive or formal.”

For the busy family of four, Morales described the re-designed space as a “little bit of luxury in the middle of chaos.”
