Happy birthday, Matt Lauer! To celebrate the co-anchor turning 56 years young, the TODAY family had some special gifts to send Matt's way, and we're also taking a look back at some of his best moments from 2013.

A playful message from a vacationing Savannah kicked off the celebration, followed by Al — with an assist from Carson — delivering a Just For Men kit to Matt to help battle the gray in his new salt-and-pepper beard.

And following a surprise call from former co-anchor Meredith Vieira — who is also celebrating a birthday today — Jane Pauley's twins Ross and Rickie made their television debut to present Matt with his cake. And of course, the pair also share a birthday with Matt and Meredith!

Monday's celebration was just one in a long line of fun and memorable moments with Matt this year. In between interviewing the world's biggest stars this year, Matt busted out his dance moves, spoke about his longtime inspiration, and showed us his "cans."
