Lottery fever struck TODAY this morning as Matt and correspondent Kevin Tibbles each bought tickets for the $500 million Mega Millions game live on air.

And Kathie Lee and Hoda dreamed during their daily chat how they would spend their winnings (guess who said she'd give it away to charity).

Kevin prepared for his big win by getting a quick health checkup from Dr. David Zich of Northwestern University.

"When you find out you win, quite frequently your blood pressure drops and you faint," the doc said. But if Kevin doesn't win and suffers from a broken heart? "That's much more serious," Zich joked.

And it sounds like there may be some collusion between our anchors over winning it all.

"You know Matt -- I'll be more than happy to split these winnings with you, but you'll going to have to find me first," Kevin joked from Illinois.

Savannah had a different idea.

"That was so sweet of you guys to buy me all those lotto tickets," she said. "I promise I'll share a couple bucks with you. Lunch on me!"
