Lester, Erica and Jenna joined Dylan as "ice bucket challenge" warriors on Saturday.
The viral trend involves dumping a bucket of ice water on your head, then challenging three friends to do the same. After Dylan completed the chilly task on Friday, she issued the challenge to her co-anchors, who followed followed through on the plaza Saturday morning — reluctantly.
"I want to think about it a little more. I changed my mind," Jenna begged before getting doused.
The ice bucket craze began going viral earlier this summer, even reaching Matt Lauer, who took the plunge on the plaza in July, and the social media sensation is still pushing along. On Thursday, more than 200 Bostonians took the challenge in Boston's Copley Square to raise awareness and money for ALS, a neurodegenerative condition also referred to as Lou Gherig's disease.
After Erica and Jenna were doused in ice water, they extended the challenge to three of their friends.
As for Lester, he refused to put any of his friends through the experience.
"That wasn't as bad as I thought," Lester said. "It was worse."
