And Kathie Lee and Hoda's fourth hour of TODAY was listed as "In." On the other side of the coin? "Inception" -- the 2010 blockbuster film -- was labeled "Out."

Dan Zak, a Washington Post feature writer, explained the choice on TODAY this morning.

"'Inception' is about burrowing into your dreams. We think of the whole TODAY show as having different levels and dimensions that unfold over the hours, reaching the dreamiest hour," he said.
