Even though Kathie Lee is the one with the golden pipes and albums, it was TODAY's Hoda Kotb that country superstar Martina McBride asked to make a cameo appearance in the music video for her new single,"I'm Gonna Love You Through It."
But it was for a very good reason -- the beautiful ballad honors cancers survivors. So Hoda, who has survived breast cancer, didn't hesitate to say yes, to tell her own story as well be part of some music magic.
A fan of music and always one to sing or dance (have you seen iHoda?), Hoda was looking forward to her opportunity to belt out a tune or dance on camera.
"I didn't get to sing. I didn't get to backup dance," said Hoda. "What happened? This is my big break!"
"Next video," McBride promised her.
"Really? OK, remember she said that -- next video!"
