Natalie Morales didn't spend St. Patrick's Day decked out in green with a Guinness in hand: The TODAY anchor was too busy tearing up the streets in New York City's half-marathon.

On TODAY Monday, she admitted with a laugh: "I am walking, although very stiffly — going up the stairs is painful this morning."

"A selfie at the midway point if the #NYCHalf ...Great cause @alzassociation and lots of fun with the team," Natalie tweeted.

Natalie ran the 13.1-mile race on the "Athletes to End Alzheimer's" team. The disease is a cause she's very close to.

"My mother-in-law has early onset Alzheimer's. She's had it for about 15 years now," she  explained. "Anything I can do to lend my voice to the cause."

The avid runner — we recently saw her scale the Empire State Building — enjoyed the day, posting plenty of photos and updates throughout the race. "We had a great time," she said.

And don't count her out of more mileage down the line.

"I might do a marathon again someday, I don't know," she said.
