One year after Superstorm Sandy wreaked havoc across the East Coast, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie spoke with Matt Lauer on TODAY Tuesday about his most vivid memories of touring the devastation in the days after the storm hit.
When the conversation took a lighter turn toward New Jersey's upcoming celebration of Halloween, which was canceled last year because of the storm, Gov. Christie revealed the costume idea he's cooked up — and it's inspired by a certain TODAY anchor.
"It's funny, this year I'm actually going as Savannah Guthrie,'' Christie said. "I figure if I pick Savannah, I will endear myself to the people in my state because they love her here."
