Jack Sturm, one of the members of the TODAY family, passed away Tuesday morning after a battle with cancer.

For the better part of 20 years, Jack was the guy who picked up our TODAY anchors up for work each morning and drove them to the studio.

"He was the first person some of us saw every day as we dragged ourselves out of bed in the wee hours of the morning," Matt said. "Mornings will not be the same without Jack."

Ann called him "one of the most dependable, humble and good guys."

Jack was also close with former anchor Katie Couric. "I am heartsick and miss him so much," she tweeted.

Condolences go to his wife, his children and his grandchildren. He will be missed.
